Sensitivities of the Asian Summer Monsoon Simulations to Physical Parameters for the Perturbed Parameter Ensemble of HadGEM3‐GC3.05

The simulation skill of the perturbed parameter ensemble (PPE) HadGEM3-GC3.05 on mean climate pattern Asian summer monsoon (ASM) is evaluated in this study. sensitivities model bias to parameters are investigated based metrics. results show that PPE (PPE-20M) could effectively capture general ASM precipitation and wind patterns, with a correlation coefficient 0.78. PPE-20M mainly shows positive biases over tropical western Pacific, southern slope Tibetan Plateau, Indochina Peninsula, South China negative Indian continent Bay Bengal. magnitude more sensitive than its variation parameters. Four (ent_fac_dp, qlmin, ps_cloud-ph, psm) found be crucial for simulating intensity, their combined effects related simulated biases.
